Depending on your use, we process website data, cookie preferences, self-assessment answers, optional contact data, technical logs, analytics data after consent and communication data.
We do not process special categories of personal data, such as health data, religious beliefs or biometric identification, unless this is explicitly necessary, legally permitted and clearly communicated in advance.
3. Location and technical data
Ketenaansprakelijkheid.be does not use precise location data and does not follow visitors across other websites. Technical server logs may contain an IP address for security and troubleshooting.

5. Sharing personal data
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising. We share data only where necessary with customers or organisations for which the user works, competent authorities or official platforms, technical service providers, hosting and security partners, email and support services, professional advisers, authorities or courts.
We enter into appropriate data processing agreements with processors. Third parties that access personal data must provide an equivalent level of protection.
6. International transfers
We aim to process personal data within the European Economic Area. If a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we use a valid transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or other appropriate GDPR safeguards.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access control, encrypted connections, logging, backups, restricted access rights and security checks. No system is completely risk-free, but access to personal data is limited to those who need it.
8. Retention
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. Account and organisation data is kept while the account or contract is active and afterwards for administration, evidence and legal obligations. Registrations, declarations, audit logs and verification data are kept for compliance, inspection, disputes and evidence. Support data and technical logs are kept for a limited period, unless longer retention is needed for security or legal reasons.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
9. Deletion and rights
You can request deletion of your account or personal data at [email protected]. Some data cannot be deleted immediately where we or our customers must retain it for legal obligations, audit, security, disputes or accounting. In that case, we restrict processing to those necessary purposes.
Under the GDPR, subject to the legal conditions, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
10. Cookies
The website uses necessary cookies and, only after consent, limited analytics. More information is available in the cookie policy.
11. Children
This service is a business service and is not directed at children. Where a minor is legally allowed to work and is registered through an organisation, processing takes place in the context of that work or assignment relationship and applicable legal obligations.
12. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when our service, legislation or data processing changes. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
